September = Real School, No Cheer, and Queenliness

Yeah, so, school is now real. Here it goes.

The game on Friday was amazing. It was so weird...it was the first time that I actually watched a game instead of cheering it, and it was kind of surreal. I can't believe I'm not going to be able to be in the homecoming routine this year...that's always one of the best parts of cheerleading, and I'll never get to experience it again. Sad...

In other news...Sarah and I are queens. We even get crowns. How cool is that?

In the fall play, Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, I am going to play Titania, the fairy queen, and Sarah is going to play Hippolyta, the Amazon queen. When you see us in public, we request that you bow. That is all. Mmm I am so excited.

I have so much to say about the future that is rapidly becoming the present, but I don't have much time now. College has always been a sort of hazy possibility, lurking just over the horizon and showing enough of itself to tantalize, but not really to frighten. But now, it is there - more concrete than shadow, no longer a mixture of smoke and mirrors but a thrilling, impossible reality that emphasizes all that must be done to get to where I want to go. More later. Lots to say.
