Mucho Praise for Gilmore Girls

Yes, well, it seems to be a tradition for many bloggers to post songs, or quotes, or poems. While this is all very nice, today I'd like to propose a daily alternative - Gilmorisms! Ahh at last, I can share the joy of Gilmore Girls with everyone who reads the blog! Imagine. My lifelong dream, realized. Hold on, I'm having a moment...wait...nevermind, it's over. Well, here's today's Gilmorism that takes place when Lorelai has just come to pick up Rory from her summer Congress thing-a-majig:

LORELAI: Hey, I got you gifts.

RORY: What? I’m the one that left town, I’m supposed to get you gifts.

LORELAI: Oh, but I got here early and there was nothing to do except feed gummy bears to the bomb-sniffing dogs which, apparently, the United States government frowns upon.

RORY: You got in trouble with the government while you were waiting for me?

LORELAI: Just a little. RORY: How much is a little?

LORELAI: Learn Russian.

Ah, classic.
